Andrew Gori (he/they, b. 1982) is a novelist, screenwriter, and narrative film and commercial director living between New York City and Los Angeles. Andrew is the co-Founder of New York Times-heralded art fair SPRING/BREAK Art Show [IG Following: 28K] with long term partner Ambre Kelly, one-half of the identity-addled art duo BOYFRIENDGIRLFRIEND, and more recently, the co-Creator of film production company Camera Ready Pictures. As SPRING/BREAK Art Show, Andrew has produced and curated over nine exhibitions for audiences up to 30,000. As BOYFRIENDGIRLFRIEND, Andrew has had gallery exhibitions of work in New York City, Mexico City, and Los Angeles.

A graduate of Bard College, Andrew received the Maya Deren Film Award for 'excellence in and commitment to, cinema' from Anthology Film Archives co-Founder Adolfus Mekas. After working for indie film luminaries like Miranda July and Jim Jarmusch, Andrew ran development for Lux Capta Pictures under producer Francois Murray (Wonderstruck, First Reformed). As a participant of the IFP Film Week with biopic screenplay My Thirty Year War, Andrew’s script was short-listed for the Kodak Grand Jury Award and cornered by This American Life. Their screenplays have been shortlisted for the Sundance Lab, The Venice College Film program, and many more and their efforts in the creative space in general have been championed by famed New York Magazine art critic Jerry Saltz, formidably documented by the iconic photographer Bill Cunningham, and praised by New York Times columist Roberta Smith, with Andrew personally acknowledged via artnet as one of 17 people ‘completely changing the art world.’

Along with numerous screenwriting projects in development, Andrew’s commercial and short film work over the past decade have included collaborations with Mickey Sumner, Joanne Tucker, Jennifer Prediger, Van Neistat, and Fall On Your Sword, and will culminate in late 2021 for the quarantine-forestalled film debut, HELL HOUSE.
